Rosa Alvarado Obituary
Rosa O. Alvarado, age 95, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Friday, January 16, 2026 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Walter Best officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Rosa was born on April 15, 1930 in Sweetwater, Texas to Epifano Ovalle and Maria (Ceballos) Ovalle. She married Regino Alvarado on October 17, 1943 in Sweetwater, Texas. She was a homemaker and longtime member of Calvario Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Torrez and husband Rudy of Snyder, Texas, Eva French of Lampasas, Texas, Sylvia Trevino of Snyder, Texas, and Angie Palafox of Sweetwater, Texas; granddaughter, Gloria Dye and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Regino Alvarado, daughters, Mary Louisa Enijosa, and Lupe (LuLu) Martinez; sons, Jimmy Alvarado, and David Alvarado, sisters, Soledad Gutierrez, Esther Solano, and Elisa Reyna.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Torrez, Israel Torrez, Jeremy Torrez, Alex Torrez, Jaxson Torrez, and Regino Franco.
Honorary pallbearers will be Isaias Franco and Ezekial Franco.
