Rosa Maria Castillo, age 75 of Houston entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2025. She was born on October 30, 1949 to Esteban Castillo and Petra Galvan in Mission, Texas.
"My dear mother, Rosa, was a woman whose spirit radiated in everything she did. She found joy in the simple pleasures-dancing, cooking, and, most of all, gathering her loved ones close. She had an unmatched ability to make every moment special, whether in the warmth of a meal shared or the laughter through family gatherings. My mother had a gift for making connections wherever she went; no matter the place, she could always find a friend, leaving behind a trail of kindness and light. Rosa wasn't just beautiful on the outside-her heart was pure, her love was endless. She touched everyone with her grace, and her legacy is one of love, warmth, and the gentle reminder that the most beautiful things in life are those we share with others especially family."
Rosa is preceded in death by her Father, Esteban Castillo, Mother, Petra Galvan, Brother, Rene Gonzalez, Step Father, Juan Gonzalez, Sr..
She is survived by her beloved family which includes her Partner, Miguel Gamez; Son, Ricardo Villalpando; Three Daughters, Sandra Villalpando (Ramon), Jessica Villalpando (Geovanny), Jeanette Villalpando (Omar); Four Granddaughters, Valeria Villalpando, Devina Villalpando, Jelena Ramirez, Jaslyn Ramirez; Grandson, Ricardo Jr. Villalpando; Four Great-granddaughters, Isabella Villalpando, Aaliyah Arroyo, Alayna LaBell, Rosa Arroyo; Two Great-grandsons, Adrian LaBell, Isaiah Arroyo.
