Our Loving Momma, Rosa Rosales Chavarria, 74, ran into the arms of Jesus on September 20, 2023 surrounded by the people who loved her the most. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Krestridge Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 23,2023, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born on October 22, 1948 to Oralia Alvarez Rosales and Rumaldo Rosales in Knox City, Texas. Rosa grew up in Raymondville, Texas where she met the love of her life, Eddie Chavarria, at a ticket counter. They ran off to get married on January 10, 1966. They have been happily married for 57 years, lived many places, traveled where they could, and truly enjoyed their lives together.
Rosa was a homemaker; nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her family. She spent many years raising babies and loving on her grandkids and great-grandkids! When she wasn’t being Momma or Nana, Rosa was serving the Lord in any way she could. Going to revivals, cleaning the church, helping her husband spread the word of the Lord is what she was made to do!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Oralia Alvarez Rosales; father, Rumaldo Rosales; in-laws, Juana and Ausencio Chavarria; and nephew, Michael Chavarria.
Rosa is survived by her loving husband, Eddie Chavarria; daughter, Nancy and Gilbert Ruiz; son, Rene Chavarria; son, Eddie and Helen Chavarria; son, Juan Gabriel Chavarria; daughter, Jennifer Chavarria; and son, Joshua and Brooke Chavarria; grandkids, Anna Marie Gomez, Brenda (Tanner) Berry, Gabby (Thomas) Gonzalez, Jacob (Pamela) Chavarria, Bethany (Randy) Chavarria, Miranda (Andres) Montalvo, Megan Chavarria, Kaleb Cardenas, Samantha Chavarria, Sunshine (Angel) Chavarria, Ryan Chavarria, Stormy (Lane) Ruiz, Noah Ruiz, Rica Cantu, Emrey Chavarria, Ozzie Solano, Harper Chavarria, and Rosalee Chavarria; great-grandbabies, Jaxon and Gracynn Berry, Karsyn Gaona, Kassidy Rodriguez, Aiden, Casey and Bria Gomez, Joseph, Angelica, Chloe and TJ Gonzalez, Destiny Blair, Layla and Xavier Zamora and Hezekiah Chavarria; brothers and sisters, Rumaldo Rosales, Manuel (Maria) Sanchez, Marianna Longoria, Maria Elena (Tony) Cepeda, and Mario Sanchez; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
