Rosa Grieco

Rosa (LoStocco) Grieco, age 91, of Woburn passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17th. Born and raised in Fondi, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Paolo and Antonietta (Fiorilla) LoStocco. Rosa immigrated to the U.S. when in her 30s, and lived for 60 years in Somerville before recently moving to Woburn. She was employed for many years as a seamstress.
Rosa loved gardening and sewing. She was very loveable and had a smile for everyone. Rosa enjoyed cooking for her family, visits with her grandchildren and nieces, and spending time with family vacationing on Cape Cod.
Rosa was the beloved wife of the late Sabato Grieco, and the devoted mother of Augusto "Gus" Grieco and his wife Denise, and the late Angela Clapp and her surviving husband Christopher. She was the loving grandmother of Anthony and Isabella Grieco, and Christina and Joseph Clapp. Rosa was the dear sister of the late Carolina Bianchi, Louise Zannella and Elisa LoStocco, and the cherished aunt of Josephine DiSarra, Filomena Cecere, Anthony and Massimo Zannella, and Paul and Marco Bianchi. She is also survived by many more loving family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit Rosa's family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, August 22nd from 4 through 8 PM, and again on Friday, August 23rd at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
