Rosa Milana, known affectionately as Rose, was called home by the Lord on September 22, 2023, after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 1, 1949, in the beautiful country of Italy, she was a beacon of faith, love, and kindness. She passed away in the peaceful surroundings of
Holiday, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
In her youth, Rose trained as a hairstylist in Connecticut and brought joy to many with her talent. In 1986, she moved to Florida and began a dedicated career at Oscor Inc in Palm Harbor, where she assembled pacemakers and medical devices for over 20 years. Her meticulous work touched countless lives, manifesting God's healing through her hands.
Rose was a woman of deep faith. She was a proud and faithful member of Christ Church Palm Harbor. Her unwavering belief in God saw her through the highs and lows of life. Even when she couldn't be there in person, she stayed connected through the internet, never missing a service. As the Good Book says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13. This was the verse that Rose lived by.
She was a woman of many passions. Fishing with her husband gave her great memories, Cooking for her family brought her great joy. Crocheting and crafting sparked her creativity, and yard sales offered her delightful treasures. But above all, she cherished her family, friends, and her beloved grand-fur babies, Rex, Cali, Tootsie and her faithful dog, Cici. She had a great love for animals. Her home was a sanctuary of love and warmth, filled with the sound of laughter and the aroma of Italian cooking.
Rose was a beloved companion of Thomas (Tom) Arnold for the past 22 years. She was also the loving wife of Salvatore Milana, who preceded her in death after 25 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Angela Kohan, and her husband Joe, and was predeceased by her loving daughter Pasqualina. Rose was also a warm and loving grandmother to her daughters' and son-in-law's fur babies.
She was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Pasqualina Casale, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the dear sister of Giovanni Vellucci and his wife Teresa, and Carmella Vellucci Johnston and her husband Reggie, both of whom preceded her. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Mario Vellucci and his wife Virginia, and Vittorio Vellucci and his wife Maria, and Bruno Vellucci (Annina). She is survived by her brother Hugo Vellucci and his wife Claudia, and her sister Antoinette Casale D'Onofrio and her husband Vincenzo. She was a beloved aunt to countless nieces and nephews.
Rose lived a life that exemplified the virtues of love, kindness, and faith. She was a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength for all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of faith and the beauty of love. As we bid farewell to our beloved Rose, we celebrate her life, her spirit, and her enduring faith. We remember her with love, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
In the words of the renowned theologian, C.S. Lewis, "There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind." As we mourn the loss of our beloved Rose, we take solace in the knowledge that she is now in a far, far better place. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Farewell, dear Rose, till we meet again at the foot of the Heavenly Throne. Amen.
