Rosa Mercedes Pages, 100, of Owings, Maryland, passed away on February 8, 2025 at Solomons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 12, 1924, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to Rosario (Vega) and David Lopez.
Rosa was the devoted wife of Jaime G. Pages, with whom she shared thirty-seven years of marriage, and countless show-stopping Tango dances; after Jaime's passing in 1984, Rosa continued to hold him dearly in her heart for the rest of her life. Rosa first came to the United States with her family in 1976, and they resided in New Jersey until 2003 when they moved to Orlando, FL, to Texas in 2011, and then to Maryland in 2016. Rosa was energetic and adventurous, and loved dancing, traveling and going out with her children and grandchildren, or just out for a walk whenever she got a chance. She also loved singing, crocheting, cooking, and keeping her home clean and orderly. Rosa was blessed with a long and healthy life and dedicated every day to her beloved family.
Rosa is survived by her children, Santiago, Pilar, Alfonso, and Ricardo Pages; daughter-in-law Sonia Pages; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jaime G. Pages; her son, Hugo Pages; and her parents, David and Rosario de Lopez.
