Rosa Perales Obituary
Rosa was born in El Paso, Texas on June 26, 1948. Lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas, attended Bowie High school. Here, she would meet the love of her life, Jose C. Perales, of whom she would later marry.
Rosa worked at Farah factory where fashionable clothing was hand sewn. She participated in the Farah Labor Strike, 1972-1974, fighting against low wages and poor working conditions.She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents; Jesus V. Gonzalez and Maria Del Refugio Gonzalez. She leaves behind her husband of fifty-three loving years Jose C. Perales, daughter; Laura Perales Garcia, sons; Adrian and Albert Perales, son-in-law; Manny Garcia, granddaughters; Kimberly and Kaitlin Garcia.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 North Loop. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 6200 Fred Wilson.
