Rosa Maria Ramirez, born April 18, 1946 in Laredo, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Cecilio & Leonor Martinez, husband: Eduardo Ramirez, siblings: Felix (Juanita) Martinez, Cecilio (Maria) Martinez, San Juana (Jesus) Hinojosa, Amalia (Gilberto) Herrera, and Ofelia (Inez) Murillo.
Rosa was a master gardener who found happiness in music, fishing, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. Rosa enjoyed planting and sharing trees and plants with others. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all her family and by those whose lives she touched.
Special thanks to the staff at Webb County Headstart Program with whom she worked with for more than 30 years, her physicians, Dr. Adonis Zuniga Goldwater, Dr. Benson Huang, and their respective staff.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter: Esmeralda (Joe) Ramirez-Dorado, son: Eduardo (Brenda) Ramirez Jr., grandchildren: Erick Joel Vargas, BreAnna Ramirez, Jesús Miguel Moreno, Leopoldo Lecea IV, Joseph Dorado, brother: Jesus (Irma) Martinez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:30 am, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Frances "Mother Cabrini" Catholic Church at 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers: Joe Dorado, Erick Joel Vargas, Eduardo Ramirez Jr., Leopoldo Leca IV, Gilbert Herrera, Emmanuel Herrera, Fernando Herrera, and Luis Hinojosa.
A cremation will be held at a later date.
