Rosa Linda Sanchez was born on April 22, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas to Rosalia and Leopoldo Sanchez. She lived her entire life in Lubbock. Rosa Linda worked as a presser, cleaner, and served as a caretaker for the elderly through her late sixties. She was kind to everyone she met and gave selflessly. Rosa Linda was proud of her children and would brag about them to anyone who would listen.
Rosa Linda was called from this earth to her reward on March 2, 2025.
Her final piece of advice was: “Don’t cry. I am in God’s hands now and his hands are big enough for everyone.”
Rosa Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalia and Leopoldo Sanchez; her brothers: Frank and his wife, Janie Sanchez; Leo Sanchez; Tony and wife, Elvira Sanchez; her sisters: Mary and her husband, Chey Robles, Juanita Sanchez Castillo; her beloved sister “Beatrice” & her husband, Juan Lovato.
Rosa Linda is survived by her children: Scott Garcia and daughter-in-law Lydia; Margo Garcia and son-in-law Ben Jaime; Danny Garcia; Lorie Ortiz; Joe Torres and daughter-in-law Donna; and Tommy Torres. Her Grandchildren: Chas Biediger, Nichelle Rangel, Crystal Ortiz Garcia, Brooke Gonzalez, Christopher Ortiz, Candice Baldwin, Scott Garcia, Cassie Ortiz, Ryan Torres, Blaire Sierra, Donovan Torres, Alexandra Garcia, and Kennedi Torres; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will welcome guests on the 5th of March 2025 at Combest Funeral Home at 3 p.m. for a time of visitation, meditation and remembrance. The Rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M. Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. the 6th of March.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love, care and support during the last weeks of her life.
