Rosa Maria "Rose" Werling

Rosa Maria "Rose" Werling, 68, of Wapakoneta, passed away 1:02 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her home. She was born April 17, 1957, in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Phyllis Mae Hudnall. On February 22, 1974, she married Michael Benjamin Werling, Sr., and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2023.

Survivors include 3 children, Tammy Jo (Michael) Snyder, Wapakoneta, Michael Benjamin, Jr. (Kay) Werling, Cridersville, Joel Anthony Werling, Sidney, OH; 2 that she considered sons, Jeffrey Hudnall. Wapakoneta, Mark Allen Kinstle, Wapakoneta; 10 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Anthony (Kathy) Hudnall, Beaver, WV, Tomothy Lee Hudnall, Rhonda, WV.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Ann Hudnall.
A homemaker, Rose had worked at the Auglaize Co. Library, the Auglaize Co. Humane Society, Wapakoneta Manor, and Auglaize Acres. Along with her husband Mike, she volunteered and was a VIP at the St. Marys State Park. She was a member of the Auglaize Co. Fish & Game Club and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Rose enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing, and watching soap operas. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Chaplain Glory Geib officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 12- 2 p.m., Monday August 25, at the funeral home.
