Rosalene Amelia Heil, 95, of Marshalltown, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at The Willows of Marshalltown.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish: St. Henry Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. rosary at 4:30 also at the church, with a vigil service to follow. Rosalene Neuroth was born on February 2, 1930 in Haverhill, Iowa. She was the daughter of Paul and Amelia (Stalzer) Neuroth. Rose attended VanCleve schools and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1948. On August 9, 1948, Rose was united in marriage to Richard William Heil at Immaculate Conception in Haverhill being married 76 years. Rose was a housewife and mother to seven children. She was a member of the St Francis of Assisi Parish and Immaculate Conception Parish in Haverhill. She was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans and also a member of the St. Monica’s Society in Haverhill. Rose enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping. She played basketball in her younger years in high school and sang on the radio with her aunt, Mary Ann Stalzer-Oetker. Rose also played the piano and accordion. Rose enjoyed traveling south for thirty plus years to Florida and Arizona. Above all else, Rose enjoyed the time spent with her family and making sure she attended all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events.
Rose is survived by her husband of seventy-seven years: Richard. Children: Larry (Helen) Heil, Carole (Mark) Reinhart, Jeffrey (Barbara) Heil, Cathy (Frank) Weaver, Julianne (Curtis Sylvester) Johnson, Rich (Katie) Heil and Son-In-Law, Steve Warden. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and siblings: Louise (Gary) Neuroth-Rutherford and Sandra Bailey, along with several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Amelia; daughter: LuAnn Warden; grandson: Phillip Drummer and sisters: Donna Neuroth and Gladys Neuroth-Goodman.
