Rosalie Geraci Obituary
Rosalie Mary Abbenante Geraci, 77, resident of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of East Haven, died peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Cape Coral Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife for 57 years of Anthony S. Geraci.
She was born in New Haven on September 14, 1947, to the late James and Margaret Castellano Abbenante and was the sister of James Abbenante Jr. and Margaret Perricone and the late Antoinette Abbenante.
Rosalie worked at Strouse Adler for a few years and then began her family. Along with being a full-time mother, Rosalie volunteered with St. Clare Ladies Guild and town political events and also provided child day care.
Rosalie was the loving mother to Anthony (Kellie) Geraci and Lisa (Jospeh) Anastasio. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Kollin Geraci, Ava Rose Anastasio, Brock Geraci, Gaige Geraci and Addison Jo Anastasio. Each one of her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.
Visiting hours will Friday, Nov.1st, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MARESCA & SONS Funeral Home, 592 Chapel St, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, New Haven. Burial in All Saints Cemetery North Haven. Mr G, Anthony and Lisa. We are so sorry to hear about Rosie´s passing. We just heard about this. Truly know how we never would have missed her services. She was a fun loving person and we have many memories or from years ago. She will be in our prayers.
