Rosalie Gladfelder, age 96, of Centerville, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at Homestead Assisted Living in Centerville.
Rosalie was born on November 28, 1927 in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of John and Juanita (Long) Zimmer. She graduated from Moravia High School with the Class of 1946. On June 19, 1948, Rosalie was united in marriage to Kermit C. Gladfelder in Walnut City, Iowa. To this union, four children were born, Fonda, Joel, Elaine and Tom.
Rosalie was a homemaker, who took great pride in her children and her home. She and Kermit lived in Appanoose County during their time on the farm. The couple was very involved in the church, and lived in the Mystic, Attica, State Center and Correctionville areas, while Kermit was in ministry. Rosalie thoroughly enjoyed working in children ministry, especially Bible School and children's sermons. The couple moved back to Appanoose County after retirement settling in Centerville.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Kermit Gladfelder; her parents, John and Juanita Zimmer; two sisters, Norma Crow and Twila Mackie; and a brother, Robert Zimmer.
