Rosalina R. Cabral, 96, of Swansea, wife of the late Jose de Paiva Cabral, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Lomba da Fazenda, Nordeste, São Miguel, Açores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Jacinto Raposo and the late Maria da Costa (Branco) Raposo.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a Floor Lady in the local textile industry for many years. She loved sewing, knitting, gardening, and the outdoors. A devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. John of God Church, she faithfully attended Mass and prayed the rosary daily. Most notably, Rosalina relished the quality time she spent with her family and friends.

She leaves her loving children, Amelia Pedro and her husband, Samuel, of Swansea, Alfred Cabral and his wife, Pamela, of Winchendon, Massachusetts, and Natalie Mendes and her husband, Vincent, of Swansea; her four grandchildren, Dustin, Caci, Tyler, and Jared; one great-grandson, Ryker; her sister, Armenia Medeiros of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Daniel Raposo, Maria Hortense Oliveira, Manuel Raposo, Valentina Barbosa.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the Silva-Faria SOMERSET Funeral Home, 84 County Street, Somerset, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. John of God Church at 10:00 AM. Her visitation will also take place on Wednesdays, October 22, 2025, in the Silva-Faria SOMERSET Funeral Home from 8:30-9:30 AM. She will be laid to rest alongside her late husband in Notre Dame Cemetery.
