Rosalind Lindsey

On Monday, March 16th at 3:41pm Rosalind Lorraine Lindsey, better known as Dee Dee, departed this world surrounded by her loved ones.

Dee Dee was born on February 6, 1956, to the parents of Ethel Mae Richardson and George Lindsey at D.C. General Hospital in Washington D.C. She attended DC Public schools and graduated from Martha Mary Washington High School in June of 1975 perusing cosmetology.

She began her career in Home Health Services before at her children's school as a teachers aid which later became her becoming a teacher's assistant. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire and Bejeweled She loved music and loved dancing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren the most.

Dee Dee is survived by her daughters Luckia Wingfield, Shanika Edwards(deceased) and her son Dayton Wingtield. Her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, along with her two sisters, Patricia Griffin and Kathy Richardson. Her two brothers, James Richardson and Anthony Richardson. A dearly devoted friend Boris Brooks and childhood friend Jackie Jenkins.
