Rosalind Fry Powers

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalind Powers will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024 in Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cedar Grove, TN with Pastor Tim Osborn officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12 P.M. till service time at the church.

Mrs. Powers, age 83, passed from this life peacefully and surrounded by loving family at her home in Medina after a long illness.

 She was born in Carroll County to the late Arvil and Gertrude Rosel Fry. After graduating from Atwood High School “Class of 1959”, she married the love of her life James Harold Powers and they were together for over 65 years. Together they spent time golfing where she had two "holes in one” and golfed in the West TN Seniors Golf Tour, and they spent hours trail riding horses in several states. Rosalind also served as County Commissioner in Carroll County for 12 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Richard Fry.

She is survived by her husband, James Harold Powers; sons, Gary Powers, Greg Powers (Peter Mutnan); sister, Mary Fry; grandchildren, Judson Powers, Brooke Counce (Weston), Carsyn Powers, Addie Powers; great-grandchildren, Ava Powers, Jack Powers, Sadie Counce; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
