Mamou, LA – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rosaline "Rose" Espree Guillory, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the age of 75, surrounded by her beloved family at her residence in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Saturday, August 9, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Delafosse Cemetery.
A talented seamstress, Rose possessed an extraordinary gift for crafting beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Her passion for sewing was matched only by her fierce love for her family. A protective matriarch, she gracefully nurtured those around her, instilling in them the values of kindness, strength, and resilience.
She leaves behind her loving son, Brian Alex Guillory and wife, Renee of Jennings, LA, and her devoted daughter, Karen Guillory Johnson and husband, Mike of Lake Charles, LA. Rose is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Connie Guillory of Lawtell, and her cherished sisters, Verna Guillory and husband Amos of Church Point, LA, and Margare Ann Espree of Crowley, LA.
Rose's legacy will continue through her adoring grandchildren: Jacob Guillory, Jordan Guillory, Nicholas Guillory, Elizabeth Guillory, Dylan Guillory, Olivia Johnson, and Anthony Johnson. Each grandchild carries a piece of her warmth and creativity, ensuring that her spirit will live on for generations to come.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, August 8, 2025, beginning at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 8:00 am until the time of service.
In the spirit of Rose's compassion and love, let us remember her not only for what she created with her hands but for the incredible love she poured into every stitch of family and friendship. May she rest in eternal peace.
