Rosamond J. Vancheri d. July 3, 2025
Penfield - Passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 on the Eve of her 75th wedding anniversary. Rosamond was predeceased by her loving husband, Leonard S. Vancheri, older siblings, several very close friends and the wonderful kinship from her high school sorority sisters.
She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Lani Ann (Stephen) Lally, Kathleen Hoffman, and Bonnie Jean Vancheri (Robert Cote); two adoring grandsons, Michael Leonard (fiancé, Allison) and Marc Edwin; many nieces and nephews.
Rosamond attended Rochester Business Institute and held legal secretarial positions for several law firms in Rochester, N.Y. early in her career. She later advanced to the Monroe County Court System in the Hall of Justice and was a legal secretary to several County and Family Court Judges.
The youngest child born to Nicholas and Angelina Rotolo, Rosamond was brought up in a home filled with an abundance of love, loyalty and devotion. Her parents along with her older sisters and brother provided her a happy childhood and a continuance of love and support throughout her life.
Rosamond chose to see the beauty and color in life through art, fashion, travel and her home. She was appreciated for her unique sense of style and was consulted frequently for advice.
One of the greatest joys of both Rosamond and Leonard’s life were the times both of them spent with their two grandsons, and watching them grow into the wonderful young adults that they have become. Their grandsons were a life’s treasure.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In the memory of Rosamond's legacy, donations can be made to The Shepherd Home located at 1959 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, New York, 14526 or their website: shepherdhome.org
