Rosanne Girres

June 10, 1936 - March 6, 2024

Rosanne Girres, 87, of Grundy Center passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Allen Hospital following a brief illness.

Rosanne was born June 10, 1936 in Ruthven, Iowa to her parents George and Ruth Finnegan. She and her husband Max were married in 1959. Following their wedding, they moved to Grundy Center where Rosanne was an educator in the Grundy Center Community School District.

Rosanne is survived by her husband of 64 years, Max; her three children, Scott (Denise), Jill and Molly Bruns (Chad); five grandchildren and seven siblings.

Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, two infant children, and eight siblings.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 5pm-8pm at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 12 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Reinbeck.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Kling Memorial Library in Grundy Center, or the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Rosanne's memory.
