Rosanne Tine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by D'Angelo Funeral Home Inc - Middletown on Jan. 13, 2026.
It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Rosanne Prue Tine 76, affectionately known as Rosie, on Tuesday December 30th. Rosie was born in Middletown, CT July 28th, 1949 to the late Thomas Prue Sr. and Jennie Morello Prue. She leaves behind her beloved husband Theodore "Ted" Tine of Middletown after 55 years of marriage who was the love of her life. She also leaves behind her sister Michele Prue Augliera (Anthony) of East Haven and brother Thomas Prue Jr (Cynthia) of Rotunda West, FL. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews who adored her and a host of family members and friends who loved her endlessly and will miss her dearly. Rosie and Ted proudly owned and operated the Euro Cafe and Night Club in Provincetown, MA (Cape Cod) for over 20 years. In addition she managed many other local restaurants including La Boca and the Fishbone Cafe in Middletown, as well as the Pilot House on the river in Haddam. Rosie exhibited many wonderful qualities including her compassion for others and a joy for life that affected everyone around her. Her affection for all was unparalleled. She was a proud majorette at Woodrow Wilson high school in Middletown and an avid dancer who will always be remembered for her love of dancing, Rosie was truly the life of the party. She also had a passion for fitness and was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a loving human being whose memory will live on in the hearts of the people who love her. As one of Rosie's dear friends said of her passing, "Rosie was a bright light and when she stood with you, your life light got brighter". There will be no calling hours as requested by Rosie. There will be a Mass at Saint Mary's Church in Portland, CT on Friday January 16th at 10am. Burial at Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown, CT will be at 2pm on Friday the 16th. Her husband and family would like to thank the Hartford Hospital Hospice team and the staff on Conklin 2 for their exceptional care during Rosie's final days.

I am so sorry to see Rosanne's obituary. Our Moms were best friends. I had this picture on my nightstand for a long time. My deepest condolences to Teddy, Michele & Tom. I know we haven't seen each other in many years, but my memories of our childhood linger on. My prayers will be including you all. Roseanne is now united with her Mom & Dad. Love always Diane

Ted, Rosie was one of a kind. Her obituary sums her up beautifully. She never let the hard days win, always a real warrior up to the very end. She did what she had to do and never complained. Rosie was fortunate to have you by her side, attentive to the last detail, always there for her, and she for you. If you´re fortunate to find your soulmate in this life, surely you were each others. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
