Rose Marie Bagwell, age 92, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday morning, April 20, 2025, in Benbrook, Texas. Born on July 15, 1932, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Charles Winfield Taylor and Winnie Frances Nelson. Rose was a vibrant soul whose life was filled with love for her family and an unwavering faith in God.
Throughout her life, Rose found joy in her many interests and passions, which included the art of writing songs, embracing music, yodeling, and crocheting. A devoted mother, she raised nine children, making each one feel unique and special. Her family-oriented nature and loving demeanor created a nurturing environment that fostered many memorable moments.
Rose was preceded in death by both her parents, all of her siblings, and three daughters: Sherry Kelly, Sheila Thurman, and Susie Geldmeier. She also mourned the loss of her son Randy Bagwell and three grandsons—Chad Vaughn, Nickolas Wells, and Chuck Batchelor.
Her legacy continues through her five surviving children: Nick Wells and his wife Denise, Rick Wells and his wife Sherry, Bobby Bagwell and his wife Kathy, Cindy Hines, and Sharla Vaughn and her husband Joe. Rose will also be lovingly remembered by her 24 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Rose’s celebration of life will be held on April 29, 2025, at Brown Owens & Brumley's Joe B. Brown Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas. A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a celebration of her life from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
As we remember Rose, let us cherish the love she shared and the precious memories she created, carrying her spirit with us in our hearts.
