Rose Bejger, age 82 of Yorkville, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on October 10, 1943, in Sambuca di Sicilia, Italy, the daughter of James and Angelina (Merlo) Ferro.
Rose was united in marriage on May 19, 1979 to Mr. Ronald Bejger and they shared 46 wonderful years together. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Rose was employed for many years as a secretary with an insurance company in Chicago, IL, before later working for Yorkville School District 115. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Rose is survived by her husband, Ronald Bejger of Yorkville, IL; her son, Ron (Tami) Bejger of Aurora, IL; her grandchildren, Maxwell and Emilia Bejger; her brother Anthony (Caroline) Ferro of Dyer, IN; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Angelina Ferro.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
Friends may visit from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
