Rose Mary Mangold Bentzen, 102, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 29, 1923, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Frank and Florence Mangold.

Rose Mary worked for more than two decades as an employee of the State of Missouri. She retired from the Missouri Highway Commission.

Family was the center of Rose Mary's world. She is survived by three of her children: Janis Pedersen of Overland Park, Kansas; Margie Coltharp (Mark) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; and Dan Bentzen of Jefferson City, Missouri. She is preceded in death by three of her children: Jim Bentzen, Kathy Manes, and Bill ("Bo") Bentzen.

Rose Mary is lovingly remembered as Nana by her 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy over the years.

Rose Mary will be remembered for her gentle (and sometimes feisty) spirit, her steadfast devotion to the people she loved, and the quiet legacy she leaves behind-a legacy built from love, perseverance, and more than a century of life well lived. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her.

In keeping with Rose Mary's wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be held. Her family will honor her life privately and cherish the many memories shared with her over the years.

For those who feel moved to honor Rose Mary's memory, the family welcomes contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-a cause close to their hearts. Link to donate: https://www.cff.org/. Please select the Gateway Chapter in Kirkwood, MO.

A life as long and full as hers is a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed.
