Rose Boyer passed away on November 25, 2025, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 8, 2025, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Rose will be interred in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery.
Rose was born in Albert Lea, MN on October 2, 1926, the daughter of Lawrence and Sadie (Schmidt) Wach. She was raised in Wells and Alden, MN, graduating from Alden High School in 1944. While in High School, Rose met her future husband, Walter Boyer. The two were married on August 28, 1945 at St. Casmirs Catholic Church in Wells, MN. The two were soulmates, and Walter called her his "Beloved Rosie".
Rose worked for Naeve Hospital for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. Theodore Catholic Church where she could be found frequently attending mass. She was also a member of the Eagles Club, Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge where she enjoyed dancing with her beloved husband Walter. In her free time, she enjoyed being outdoors caring for her gardens and flower beds and fishing at their cabin Up North. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, working on puzzles, and chatting on the phone.
Her witty sense of humor and positive outlook endeared others to her and she was loved by everyone she met. She was known to say she had a happy life and had no regrets. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Mark) Moran of Brooklyn Park, MN, Larry (Nancy) Boyer of Brigham City, Utah, Alan (Deborah) Boyer of Milnor, ND, Linda Stenseth of Glenville, MN, and daughter-in-law Maria Boyer of Woodbury, MN; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister Karen (David) McKean; and many nieces and nephews and beloved neighbor Kelly Peterson, to whom the family would like to extend their special thanks for the care and support he provided to Rose.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Walter Boyer; parents Lawrence and Sadie (Schmidt) Wach; son David Boyer; daughters Susan Hensche and Baby Girl Boyer; son-in-law Larry Hensche; sister Teresa Stenzel; and brother Lewis Wach.
