Rose Bungard

Rose Marie Bungard, 92, of Mout Pleasant, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024. Rose was born April 23, 1932, in Jeannette, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Nellie Klingensmith DeArmint. Rose was a 1950 graduate Ramsay High School and a faithful member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Rose was a member of the American Legion Post 446 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the VFW Post 3368 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president and held various other offices. She is survived by her children, Ted Baldwin, Joanne Karlinsey (Kevin), Jesse Bungard (Jacquelyn), Brenda Neiderhiser (David), Barbara Bungard, Rick Bungard, Tammy Lewandowski (Ray), Terry Bungard (Stacey), and Diane Minerd (Joe); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Murphy; and sisters, Geraldine Gregory and Clara. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at SLATER-REGA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 730 W. Main St., Mount Pleasant, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, with Rev. Bob Ellson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Independence Hospice Care for their care of Rose and a special thanks to our brother, Rick for his care of our mother.
