Rose Ann Carsey ObituaryIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Ann Carsey, age 56, who left us peacefully of natural causes on May 20, 2025. Born on November 5, 1968, in Akron, Ohio, Rose spent her life bringing joy and love to those around her. A longtime resident of Mogadore, Ohio, she dedicated a significant part of her career to working with MRDD, where she touched many lives through her compassion and dedication.
Rose is survived by her beloved brother, Harry Carsey, and his wife, Sue Carsey, as well as her cherished nephew, Jon Carsey; niece, Amber Guffey (Mike); great niece and nephews, Bridget, Brently, and Michael; and the love of her live, Anthony Petak. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will remember her for her kindness, warmth, and the vibrant spirit she brought into their lives.
Roses' family will receive friends on Thursday May 29 from 4-7 pm with a funeral service to be held at 7 pm at the conclusion of visitation, in the Dunn Quigley Funeral Home 811 Grant St Akron, OH. Friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and share their memories at a location to be announced. Rose will be laid to rest at Alexander Union Cemetery at 2150 Hebbardsville Rd, Athens, OH 45701, where she will join the embrace of nature and be forever remembered by all those she loved and who loved her.
May her spirit rest in peace.
