Ms. Rose Nell Berry Cooper was born to the late Mr. Robert Earl and Mrs. Maxie Viola Berry on April 7, 1941 in Tattnall county. Ms. Rose graduated from Tattnall County High School and completed her education at Ogeechee Technical College. She was employed with the GA Department of Family and Children, GA Department of Corrections, Ruby's Restaurant, and Claxton Nursing Home. She was a member of Greater Zachariah Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with the choir.

Rose is the widow of the late Roy Clayton Cooper and was preceded in death by siblings Alethia Berry Jackson, James Henry Berry, and Claud Berry.

Ms. Rose loved and cherished her children: Anthony L. Cooper of Claxton, Georgia; Wanda (Landy) Redford, both of Claxton, Georgia; Andre (Elaine) Cooper of Lawton, Oklahoma; Karon D. (Elzie) Timmons of Savannah, Georgia; Sylvia B. (Mickey) Byrd of Claxton, Georgia; Isreal R. Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia; Latara Cooper of Claxton, Georgia; and Travis M. Cooper of Claxton, Georgia (grandson raised as a son); her grandchildren: Latonya (Amos) Williams of Jonesboro, Georgia; Travis M. Cooper of Claxton, Georgia; Marie L. Sharpe of Reidsville, Georgia; Andre Cooper Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma; Harvell H. Cooper of Statesboro, Georgia; Ladasha C. Cooper of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Pierrie M. Cooper of Claxton, Georgia; Spolinee N. Byrd of Hinesville, Georgia; Mickey L. Byrd, Jr. of Claxton, Georgia; Tynesha (Roger) Wilkes of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Iasmone S. Byrd of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Mickeeia R. Byrd of Claxton, Georgia; and Keaira D. Tilman of Reidsville, Georgia; her sisters: JoAnn (Avery) Berry Roberson and Ruby J. Berry; her brothers: Bennie Rosco Berry and Robert E. Berry, Jr.; thirty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, whom she loved dearly.
