Rose Mary Deloge

Rose Mary Deloge, age 83, of Roscommon, died on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Traverse City, Michigan.

Rose Mary was born July 6, 1942, in Larium, Michigan, the daughter of John and Rose (Dragman) Geshel.

She spent many happy years traveling to different states including Hawaii. She lived in Warren, Michigan and California before settling down in Roscommon. Rose Mary had many jobs over the years: Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma and Cub Scout Den Mother. She also worked many jobs outside her home: Roscommon Gas and Oil, Hilltop Manor, and the Laundry Tub, just to name a few. When she was younger, Rose Mary loved the family drives to surprise destinations and spending the winters snowmobiling. Rose Mary loved routine and started everyday with her coffee and crossword puzzles from her favorite magazines. She spent her days knitting and chatting with her family and friends. When she could get out, she loved to go play Bingo and visit with friends. She was known to win quite frequently. Her evenings were spent watching game show reruns and court TV. She ended everyday with prayers for her family and friends.

Rose Mary will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: John (Kelly) Sharpe of Lake Orion, Michigan, Dave (Kerri) Sharpe of Roscommon, Michigan, Mary (Steve) Szettella of Arizona, Earl (Peggy) Deloge of Colorado; grandchildren: Garrett (Alicia), Trevor (Jessi), Michele (Robert), Jade, Lauryn, Jake (Richelle), Devon and Trevor; great-grandchildren: Selena, Gabriella, Brayden, Gracelynn and Silas.

Along with her family, Rose Mary leaves behind her Bingo partner and friend of 50+ years, Evelyn Shultz; and her neighbor and good friend, Teresa Bomaster.

Rose Mary was very thankful for all of her helpful neighbors who looked out for her by bringing in her mail, shoveling snow and dropping off groceries when she couldn't get out herself.

Rose Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Earl P. Deloge and her great-granddaughter, Jorah.

Rose Mary's family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
