Rose Derosier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bennie Smith Funeral Home - Seaford on Feb. 18, 2026.
Rose Darlyne Derosier, 41, passed away on February 7, 2026. She was born on March 19, 1984, in Aquin, Haiti, to her loving parents, Jean and Chrisnie Derosier. In 1989, Rose joined her parents in the United States, where she grew up on the Eastern Shore, attending church and school and building the strong foundation of faith and compassion that would guide her life.

At the age of 17, Rose publicly committed her life to the Lord through baptism - a decision that shaped her journey and her heart for serving others. She attended Sussex Technical High School, where she discovered her passion for helping people through the medical field. As part of the Health Professions Cluster for three years, she earned her Board Certification as a CNA at just 17 years old.

Following high school, Rose attended Liberty University and continued pursuing her calling in healthcare. She devoted more than 20 years to the medical field, working tirelessly to ensure that every patient and client she served felt loved, valued, and cared for. Her compassion was evident to everyone she encountered.

Above all, Rose lived and worked with deep love and dedication for her beloved son, Isaiah, who was the center of her world. She also faithfully served as a foster mother for many years, opening her heart and home to children in need of love, stability, and care.

Rose was known as a giver - someone who never hesitated to help others and would give the clothes off her back to someone in need. She cherished studying the Word of God through Bible studies with fellow believers and loved attending church services, worship conferences, and Christian events. She also enjoyed traveling, dining out, and spending meaningful time with loved ones. Those who knew her remember her open heart and her quiet, gentle spirit.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory her son, Isaiah Derosier; her parents, Jean and Chrisnie Derosier; her sister, Sharline Rene; her brother, Jakenson Derosier; and her beloved nieces and nephew, along with many extended family members, friends, and all whose lives she touched through her love and service.

Her legacy of faith, compassion, and selfless love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
