Rose Anne Ditzig passed away at HCA Houston Healthcare in Tomball, Texas on June 21, 2024, due to heart failure at the age of 88. Rose Anne was born November 14, 1935, in Waukegan, Illinois to her parents Henry and Helen Cusimano.
She graduated from St. Therese Nursing School as a Registered Nurse in 1956. She worked as a pediatric nurse for several years and advanced her education earning a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration Sciences from St. Francis College. On June 25, 1960, Rose Anne married Albert Ditzig (deceased) and started a family. They moved to Hoffman Estates, Illinois to raise their family of four children. When the children were older, Rose Anne and her husband started a small engineering and manufacturing business which they ran until retiring in Gilbert, Arizona. Rose Anne moved to Prescott, Arizona after the death of her husband, and later to Magnolia, Texas to be near family.
Rose Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Ditzig, and her brother Henry Cusimano. She is survived by her four children; Mark (Pam) Ditzig, Laura (Jay) Lentz, Gregory (Debbie) Ditzig and Allan (Ann) Ditzig. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and her sister Loretta Butkus of Rahway, New Jersey.
Rose Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul, and enjoyed travelling and visiting the ocean. Rose Anne was a devoted wife and loving mother, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is now in the hands of our Lord and Savior.
A funeral mass for Rose Anne will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 302 S Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX on July 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Interment is planned for July 5, 2024, at Ascension Cemetary in Libertyville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
