Rose Eberline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home - Farmington on Mar. 3, 2026.
Rose Marie Eberline, of Commerce Township, Michigan, passed peacefully after a short illness on February 26, 2026, at Advent Health Hospital in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Her life was centered on family, faith, and home, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion.

Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) in 2019. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her three sons-Robert (Janet), Ronald (Kathy), and Randy (Sandy)-along with her eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Rose is survived by her dearest sister, Denise Duczyminski. Rose was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Farmington, MI and Our Lady of the Rosary in Land O Lakes, FL.

Rose divided her time between Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Commerce Township, Michigan. She enjoyed her time in Florida and had good neighbors and a group of close friends. She played Bridge and Mahjong weekly, enjoyed the chick lunches and the occasional opportunity to golf. The pleasant weather and good friends provided for great seasonal stays in Florida.

Born on April 10, 1934, to Anthony and Anne Gazdecki (Szkutnicki), Rose grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, alongside her five brothers and sisters. She went to Dearborn schools and graduated from Fordson High School. She later worked in a business office, where she met her future husband Bob. They married in 1955 and built a life grounded in faith, family, and shared vision. Earlier years, they were parish members at Dearborn Divine Child where her sons went school.

Rose had a lifelong passion for gardening and took great pride in her culinary talents. Her Catholic faith guided her daily life, and she will be remembered as a strong, independent woman who lived on her own terms in her later years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who created countless cherished memories with her family. Her compassion, warmth, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

She will be truly missed.

The Eberline family will receive friends Sunday, March 8, from 3–7 PM, with a Rosary at 6 PM, at the funeral home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 9, 10:00 AM (in state 9:30 AM), Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Road, Farmington, MI 48336.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, online at www.cskdetroit.org or by mail to PO Box 772091, Detroit, MI

These are pictures of my in-laws in their community in Wesley Chapel, Florida!

They had a villa built in 2000 and spent every winter there. They enjoyed golfing, participating in activities with their friends, eating at the country club and so much more!

My in-laws have lived part-time in Florida since 2000. They have thoroughly enjoyed their community!

Over the years, they have developed strong friendships with so many of their neighbors. Robert and Rose Eberline enjoyed playing golf, eating at their country club, playing bridge!

After my father-in-law died in December 2019, my mother-in-law continued coming to Florida, has she loved the Sunshine State and her bond became even stronger with all of her female friends and all the clubs she belong to.
