Rose T. Elsemore
"Beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother"
Rose T. (Catanesi) (Jones) Elsemore, 92, of Waterbury, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Cromwell, CT. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel C. Jones and George J. Elsemore.
Rose was born in Waterbury, CT on June 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Arcangelo and Anna (DiDonato) Catanesi. She was educated in the Waterbury School system and worked as a nurse's aide for the New Horizon Convalescent Home for seven years, retiring in 1996. Rose had a heart of gold and would try to help anyone she could. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, attending events at the American Legion, traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun casino with her husband George. Rose was a member and past president of the American Legion Women's Auxilary and a member of the Salon Sixty of the Fourty & Eight.
Rose leaves her son, Daniel Jones of Brewer, ME, her six loving grandchildren, Charlie Hardison, Jr., Patrese Hardison, Melissa Foy, Krystal Hardison, Nicholas Jones and Stephanie Medina and two great grandchildren, Chasity and Jeremy. She was predeceased by her children, Donald, Michael, David Jones, Patricia Jennings and Eleanor Hardison, her brother, Angelo "Breezy" Catanese, her grandson, Timothy Michael Jones and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Bixby-Jones.
Arrangements: A funeral service for Rose will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown, CT. A calling hour will be held Monday, from 9:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.
