Rose Ellen (Newman) Ernst, born in Milwaukee, WI in 1949, a child of the late Helen and late Ralph Newman. She had 9 siblings, survived by, JoAnn, Ann, and Robert, and preceded in death by Mary, James, Dennis, Thomas, Ken (foster-brother), and Nancy. Rose was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School, Bay View High School, and Alverno College. Married to James Ernst (Deacon) for 53 years. She was the mother of three: Scott (Katrina), Greg (Karen), and Christina Bowman (Kevin). Grandmother of eight: Gabriel, Micaela, Ryan, Lena, Robert, Sebastian, Eleanor, and Allen. She was a dedicated wife, mother, teacher, church flautist, mentor, and friend to many. She will be remembered as a faith filled, compassionate woman who was always caring and sharing.

Visitation, Monday, February 16, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. Park Ridge, Lying In-State, Tuesday, February 17, 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, Our Lady of Hope Catholic Mission, 9711 W. Devon Ave. Rosemont. Interment will be held privately.
