She graduated from Hamden High School in 1951 before continuing her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, earning her degree in Oral Hygiene in 1954, where she met her husband Joe. Posie enjoyed a decades-long career in the dental field, bringing warmth and kindness to those she served while forming lifelong friendships along the way.
A true social butterfly, Posie thrived on bringing people together, creating a welcoming home that was the heart of her family. She volunteered with the League of Women Voters and had a passion for the arts, enjoyed movies with neighbors, classical music, decorating, and sewing. Her hobbies included annual trips to Cape Cod, jigsaw puzzles, playing Words with Friends with her sisters and savoring her Sunday New York Times.
She was the center of her family and her love and sense of fun included many happy times with her sisters' families. Her legacy of warmth, love, and connection continues to inspire all who knew her.
