Rose Marie Gunsalus, age 92, of West Alexandria, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. She was born April 6, 1933 in Eaton to the late Harry and Dora (Straw) Aukerman.
Rose always had a special place in her heart for children and was a teacher’s aide at Twin Valley Schools for over 35 years helping many children over the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Gunsalus; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Glenda) Gunsalus, Tim (Marianna) Gunsalus, Angela (Steve) Haddix, and Teresa (Bret) French; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Mound Hill Cemetery (new side) in Eaton, OH. Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements.
