Rose Marie Kadereit

Rose Marie Kadereit passed peacefully at the age of 86. Rose was born on June 27, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late James Vocelka Jr. and Alice Marie (O'Connell) Vocelka.

Rose met the love of her life, Bill Kadereit, in 9th grade. They dated throughout high school and were married at the age of 19 in 1959. Rose worked for Mutual of Omaha prior to raising her two children. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Family was her world and she loved everyone deeply. She enjoyed family vacations, cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, crafting, painting, and music (her love for music started at an early age when she learned to play the accordion).

Rose was preceded in death by her parents James Vocelka and Alice Stander, and step-father Maurice Stander; brothers Robert and Maurice Stander; sisters-in-law Diane and Jan Stander; step brother Don Iske and step sister-in-law Beryl Iske; and nephews Rob Stander and Richard Iske.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bill Kadereit; her two children Colleen (Pete) Nolte and Kevin Kadereit; her grandchildren Will Hafey, Danielle Hafey, Kayla Rose (Chris) Murphy, and Sam (Don) Sweet; great-grand children Jake, Aubrey, Aaron, Jethro, Leo, Max, and Ari; sister-in-law Roberta Stander, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and close friends will be on March 14th at 1:00pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas followed by a reflection and short prayer service. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.
