Rose Ellen Kiser, a cherished Southern lady, departed this life peacefully on January 16, 2026. Born on August 6, 1935, in Haralson County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Deese and the late Effie McAdams Deese. In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Forrest Kiser; her sisters, Avis Deese, Mary Deese Yearty and Bunice Deese; and her brothers, James Alton Deese, Euiel Edward Deese, and Earl Deese.
A proud graduate of the 1953 class of Buchanan High School, Rose devoted her life not only to the nurturing of her family but also to her beloved community. A dedicated partner, she assisted her husband, Forrest Kiser, in their construction business, where she poured her heart into painting and decorating the homes he built. Rose was a woman of many talents and interests. A lifetime member of the Buchanan Lions Club, she engaged joyfully in community service, as well as volunteering as a Pink Lady at Higgins Memorial Hospital. An accomplished artist, she possessed the gift of drawing and painting, creating beautiful cards of nature that brought joy to friends and family members. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, a shining example of grace and artistry in every sense.
She leaves behind her dear sister, Margaret Deese Smith, and her loving sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Gerald Redding, as well as several special nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rose requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Corinth Cemetery Fund, 43 Rockmart Road, Bremen, GA 30110.
