Rose Ann (Friel) Lee 78 of New Lexington, passed away on Saturday March 7th, 2026, at Majestic Care of New Lexington.

Rose Ann was born on December 16, 1947, the youngest child of the late Edward Francis and Florence Bella (Hammer) Friel.

Rose Ann was a devout Catholic and Benedictine Oblate affiliated with St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, Indiana. Rose Ann was committed to sharing her faith and love of God with those she met and to spreading God's word and following Christ's example. She greatly enjoyed performing acts of service in the spirit of the Catholic faith, using her skills in crochet to make baby hats and booties for local hospitals as well as countless gifts for others, and as a as a volunteer at the Perry County Food Bank.

Rose Ann is survived by children, Joseph Anderson, Maria Anderson, and Judy (Scott) Strawn, stepdaughters, Karen (Cliff) Murphy, Lisa Schoonover, Brenda (Doug) Russell, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, Rose was preceded by her first Husband, William C. Anderson, her second husband, George William Lee, her sisters, Mary Tipple, Nancy Danielson, Rita Kokensparger, and Carolyn Stoffel; brothers, Robert Friel, Joseph Friel, and James Friel. Stepdaughter, Angela Eversole.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday March 12, 2026, at THE J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL 118 West Walnut Street SHAWNEE Ohio 43782

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. Friday March 13, 2026, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church New Lexington Ohio. Interment Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery New Straitsville Ohio
