Peter Raphael James "Pete" Kiener

Peter Raphael James "Pete" Kiener 72, of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 21, 2026.
Pete was born on February 20,1954 in Nelsonville Ohio, a son of the late William C "Kelly" and Mary (Sydney) Kiener Sr.

Pete was a life member of I.U.O.E Local 18, in retirement he enjoyed spending time outside with his wife of 46 years tending their pets and property, their family, and getting dragged around by his granddaughters. He enjoyed fishing and being the first person to jump into the pond every year , mushroom hunting, and weekly pool games with his sons in the basement. Pete never met a stranger, had endless stories, and will deeply missed my many.
Survived by his wife of 46 years, Lana (Tackett) Kiener; two sons Eli (Lila) Kiener and Cliff Kiener, sisters, Margaret (Sam) Cavallaro, Susan (Russ) Murray, Michelle Brooks; brother Dr. Joseph (Celeste) Kiener, two granddaughters, Kiah and Loddie Kiener , sister- in- law Dianne Kiener, A very special Aunt Mary Jo Leonard; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents Pete was Preceded in death by his brother, William C. "Bill" Kiener Jr. and brother -in-law, Jay Brooks.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday February 27, 2026, at THE J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME 118 West Walnut St. SHAWNEE Ohio 43782. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at The SHAWNEE METHODIST CHURCH.
Pete will be buried with his parents at South Fork Cemetery, Pleasant Twp.
