Mrs. Rose Elizabeth “Lib” Hayes Culler, 101, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at her home in Winston-Salem. She was born on September 12, 1924, in Wilkes County to the late Tyre York Hayes and Minnie Lee Haigwood Hayes. Lib was a longtime member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She delivered meals on wheels in Winston-Salem for 25 years. Lib was a great cook and enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains. She loved spending time with her pets, especially her dog “Lucy”. Most of all, Lib was a kind and loving mother who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward “Ed” Culler; three brothers, Albert, Earl and Dayton Hayes; two sons-in-law, Don Ferguson and Roger Hancock; her lifelong best friend, Carolyn, and a dear friend Marian. Lib is survived by three daughters, Jill Ferguson, Janis Hancock, and Susan Culbertson; two sons, Danny Culler (Joyce), and Richard Culler; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday January 2, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Dr. Gus Thomas and Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church PO Box 604 Pfafftown NC, 27040 or an organization of donor’s choice.
