Rose C. Madl, 90, passed into eternal life in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center to join her husband and son on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025. She started her afterlife journey peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends as the Lord came to call. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Rembilas Tabbit. Rose was a graduate of St. Vincent's High School, Plymouth, and early in her life, worked for her parents with Tabbit's Market, Nanticoke. She also worked at the General Cigar Mill, Endicott Johnson Shoe Store and Gent J. Jacket Factory.
Rose was a member of St. Faustina Parish. She was very active in her church. She was the president of the Altar and Rosary Society and volunteered with various church functions.
Rose met the love of her life, George, at a square dance in Kunkle. She bowled in several leagues. She very much enjoyed spending Sundays with her loving husband at the polka dances at the VFW in Dupont. To commemorate her 60th wedding anniversary, Rose got a heart tattoo.
Rose was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Leon; husband, George; son, Vincent; and daughter-in-law, Sherri.
Surviving are her children: George and his wife, Patty; Cathy and her husband, Joseph; Jim (late Sherri); 10 grandchildren: Christopher (Amy), Andrew, Shannon (Dean Alger), Carissa (Tony Chianese), Kelcie, Keri, Melissa, James Jr. (Ashley), Patrick and Scott (Danielle); six great-grandchildren: Mariyah and Blake Madl; Kenna and Jax Chianese; Anna Madl and Ava Madl; sisters: Theresa and Marlene; brother, Larry; brother-in-law, Dave Madl (Ruthann); sister-in-law, Bernice Napkora (the late Frank); and many nieces and nephews.

Rose will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. We would like to thank the care team of doctors and nurses at Geisinger who took such loving care of her: Marty Jones, who looked after her needs and was her companion; and Sharon Kinney, who made her feel so special every time she stepped in her salon for her weekly hair appointment.
