Rose Marie Dahl, age 81, died peacefully at her home in Cottage Grove, MN Sunday morning June 11, 2023 after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
Rose Marie was born July 30, 1941 in Bagley MN the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Kaste) Sparks. She graduated from Henning High School in 1959. After graduating she completed the LPN program in Crookston, MN. Rose Marie married James Dahl March 16, 1962 and was blessed with 10 children. She loved volunteering, Classic Cowboy shows, music, gardening, indoor plants, bird watching, enjoying the outdoors, her church; planning themed celebrations and spending time with family.
Rose Marie is the sister to Paul Sparks (Lori); sister in law to Don and Gloria Dahl, the loving mother to Dawn, Keven, Wanda Hoffman (Brian), Dean (Shannon), Ed (Shannon Fisher), James Jr. (Gabriella Skarda), Paula Fortson (Leon), Lynn Lundblad (Denny), Crystal (Kyle Leyde) grandmother of David Siegert, Randy Siegert, Tony Dahl, Michael Dahl, Rose Marie Ruiz, Ella Davis, Rochelle Dahl, Danielle Lundblad, Jenelle Lundblad, Tyler Dahl, Trever Leyde, Collin Leyde, Katlin Leyde, Kailey Leyde, Alex Jesme, Rachael Jesme, Rissa Williams, and 20 great grandchildren.
She preceded in death by her husband James Dahl, son Steven, grandson Brandon, sister Clarice, brother Edgar, and parents Clarence & Mabel.
Memorial Celebration Saturday July 8th @ 1 pm at Discovery Church, 828 Portland Avenue. St. Paul Park, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service. 12-1. Rose Marie planned her memorial service and REQUESTED ALL THAT ATTEND dress in Costume. She loved costumes. In respect of her wishes, the family will all be dressed in costume. Lunch will follow service.
Interment Skibvedt Cemetery, Battle Lake, MN Sunday July 9th @ 1 p.m.
