Rose Marie Nash, age 87, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at her home.
Rose was born on February 3, 1938, in Lockesburg, Arkansas. Rose earned a degree in Home Economics at the University of Arkansas and taught 5th and 6th grade in Elm Springs and Springdale, Arkansas, before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a member of Lockesburg First Baptist Church and Lockesburg Quilters. She will be remembered for making a quilt for each of her grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Hutson and Hazel Pickens Wardlaw; one brother, William Acker Wardlaw; and one sister, Patricia Wardlaw McFerrin.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Nash; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Twyla and Keith Norsworthy of Birmingham, Alabama, and Tena and Jack Cessna of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Andrea Nash of Lindale, Texas; six grandchildren, Rachel and Jeremey Downs, Jon and Jan Norsworthy, Matthew and Brittany Nash, Natalie and Tyler Tremine, Mason Nash and Julianna Cessna; six great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nash will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Lockesburg with Dr. Ronnie Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Belleville Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the funeral home in De Queen.
