Rose Ann McIlvaine

Rose Ann DeVille McIlvaine 97, of Dover, entered her season of rest into heaven on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, after joyfully serving her season under heaven with us. She was the last to sit at the dinner table and the first to wisely serve. The last will be first and the first will be last. Our gratitude to Park Village Dover and Community Hospice for their caring support. Born May 3, 1927 in Bolivar, she was a daughter of the late Isaac D. and Florence C. (McFeeder) Hoffman. She was a 1945 graduate of Bolivar High School and following graduation from beauty school she owned and operated the former Bolivar Beauty Shop. She was then employed at the former Endres Floral Company in New Philadelphia. She was a member of the D.A.R. Ft. Laurens Chapter and the Jerusalem United Church of Christ in New Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. McIlvaine. Rose is survived by a daughter Diane (David ) Brinkley of Delroy, a son Dave W. (Marilyn) Graef of Dover; 5 grandchildren Amy L. McPeek, Shannon K. McPeek, Russell Graef (Sarah), Matthew Graef (Kim) Martin Graef (Amy) and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons David Miller Graef and John M. McPeek II.. Private family viewing and services will be held at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park in Dover.
