Frank Ohio Horner, a dedicated die maker and cherished veteran, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Bolivar, Ohio at Hennis Care Center. Born on April 29, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio, Frank led a life marked by commitment, service, and heartfelt generosity.
For four decades, Frank devoted his career to Transue and Williams Manufacturing, where his skilled craftsmanship as a die maker was respected and valued. Beyond his professional achievements, Frank's strong sense of duty was reflected in his military service as a US Army Veteran. His loyalty to his fellow service members endured throughout his life as a lifetime member of the Sebring American Legion Post, a former member of the Alliance American Legion Post, and a member of the former Sebring Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He was also very active in the Military Honor Guard, demonstrating his deep respect for comradeship and sacrifice.
Frank's kindness extended beyond his commitments to military organizations. Known for his creative spirit, he took joy in crafting wooden hearts, pink cancer ribbons, and angels, which he generously shared with everyone he encountered. This unique expression of compassion made a lasting impression on many.
He is survived by his loving family, who were a central part of his life. His daughter Toya Miller; son Larry Horner and spouse Kathy; and daughter Teena Simms and spouse Steven, along with ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, carry forward his legacy of love and dedication.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife Nancy (Mills), and his son Garry. Their memories remain treasured by all who knew him.
