Rose Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Behr's Funeral Home on May 7, 2025.
Rose M. Moore, age 95, of Dubuque, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at her home of anaplastic thyroid cancer. There will be a memorial Mass held at Nativity Church, 1225 Alta Vista Street on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation before starting at 10:00 a.m. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street is assisting the family.
Rose was born on April 22, 1930, in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Pearl (Loeffelholz) Kruser.
Rose married Robert Moore on June 30, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dubuque. Sadly, Robert preceded her in death on November 27, 2010. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Nativity Church for several years. In her younger days, Rose enjoyed bowling with her friends, going dancing and spending time on the river. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who was a talented seamstress and made magnificent meals for her family. Horticulture was another of Rose's talents. She grew beautiful flowers and plants both inside and outside of her home. Rose always gave back to her community by being a "professional volunteer" with several organizations. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Rose's memory include her daughter, Deb (Garry) Pogemiller, another daughter and a son. 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and her brothers, Merlin Kruser and Robert Kruser.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Moore; her sister, Doris Kruser in infancy; 3 brothers, Ambrose Kruser, Allen Kruser and Thomas Kruser; 3 sisters-in-law, Rosie Kruser, Elaine Kruser and Shirley Kruser; and her godson, Kenny Kruser.
Rose's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care they provided for Rose.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.behrfuneralhome.com
