Rose Carrol Muse

Rose Carrol Hinton Muse, age 88, formerly of Heritage Place, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday October 17, 2025, at West Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Liberty, Kentucky.
Born June 22, 1937, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Ivan L. Hinton and Letha P. McKee Hinton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Ivan Plank, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Phillips Plank; one son-in-law, William Ray James; two brothers, Ivan Hinton, Jr. and Rev. Samuel Ray Hinton.
She is survived by four daughters, Judy Ann Peake, Eva Jo (Charlie) Henderson, Brenda R. James and Lynn (Brian) Smith; one brother, Rev. David (Barb) Hinton; two sisters-in-law, Gail Hinton and Janie Hinton, and many nephews. She also leaves to treasure her memory 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Rose was a cook in the Rowan County School system for a number of years and in schools in Tampa, Florida. She was of the Christian faith, loved her family dearly, especially the grandchildren, and country music. She greatly enjoyed cooking for everyone and her chocolate gravy was everyone's favorite. She will be missed and always remembered by those who loved her.
In keeping with Rose's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
