Rose M. (Casella) Perrone, of Westford, formerly of Watertown, died at home on Monday, June 2, 2025. She was 102.
Born in Waltham on July 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Filomena (DiVecchio) Casella.
On November 29, 1947, Rose married the love of her life, Army veteran Paul Perrone and from there her greatest chapter began. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and found profound joy in any time spent with her beloved family. Following Paul’s retirement, the pair enjoyed splitting their time between Watertown and Stuart, Florida where they happily escaped the New England winters and made many happy memories. Eventually they moved to Stoneham. They also loved vacationing in Wareham each year.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Paul, who died March 14, 2021, she is reunited in Heaven with her brothers, the late Vincenzo “Jimmy” Casella, Luigi “Louie” Casella, Carmello “Charlie” Casella, and Rosario “Russ” Casella; and her daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Elizabeth “Betty” Perrone.
She leaves her children, Gloria M. Doherty (Donald) of Burlington, Vincent J. Perrone of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Paula J. Caruso (Anthony) of Plymouth, and Paul Perrone, Jr. of Westford; her grandchildren, Karen Giles (Kevin), Kerry Valle (Shawn), Kevin Doherty (Keri), Andrew Perrone (Alicia Van Aken), Claire Hillman (Nathan), Andrea Holmes (late Ryan), John Caruso (Amanda), Paul M. Perrone, Katherine Perrone and Emily Perrone; her great-grandchildren Kelli, Emma, Aidan, Thomas, Owen, Olivia, Kaiden, Konnor, Caleb, Ava, Aiden, Otto, Benjamin, Brendan, and Giavanna; and many nieces and nephews.
