Rose PRIEST Obituary

Rose Priest, age 70, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, in Spokane, Washington. Born in Neuss, Germany, on March 4th, 1954, Rose was the daughter of Valentine and Mathilde Herzog.

Rose graduated from Marycliff High School in 1972, and from Spokane Community College in 1974, before building her career over 43 years at the State Attorney General's office. Outside of work, Rose was always moving. She loved to golf, mountain bike, and walk, usually in the company of her close family and friends. In every group, Rose was the organizer and the planner, and had a knack for uplifting and caring for others. The cadence of Rose's voice and laughter are unforgettable for those who knew and loved her.

Rose was deeply treasured by her spouse, Roger Parks; her son, Dustin Priest and his fiancée, Brianna Norris; and her grandsons, Liam and Henry. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her siblings, Elisabeth Sloan, Peter (Lisa) Herzog, Steve (Justine) Herzog, Harry (Madeline) Herzog; her sister-in-law, Tina Parks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rose's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 21st, 2024, at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Pl., Spokane Valley, followed by a luncheon reception. In lieu of flowers, and to honor her memory as a breast cancer survivor of over 20 years, donations can be made in Rose's name to Susan G. Rose was my step-sister. My mom had married her dad after bothof their spouses had passed. I remember her as being a very kind and happy person. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends.
