Rose Etta Hood Rawlins, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her residence in Haleyville, Alabama.
Rose was born on August 24, 1945 to Paul and Verna Hood. Rose enjoyed sewing, gardening, and Sacred Harp singing. Most of all she loved hosting gatherings with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama. Brother C.R Hood will officiate.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Erin Williams (Bryan); brothers, Wendell Hood (Jo), Terril Hood, Waymon Hood, Ferlin Hood (Treva); granddaughters, Claire and Maya Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clynton W. Rawlins; parents, Paul and Verna Hood; sister, Paulette Holt; brother-in-law, Dennis Holt; sisters-in-law, Betty Hood and Anne Hood; and sons, Clynt Rawlins and Casey Rawlins.
